The King of Fighters 2006 is a 2D fighting game developed and published by SNK Playmore for the PlayStation 2 platform in 2006. It is the twelfth installment in the The King of Fighters series and the sequel to The King of Fighters 2003.
The game has similar gameplay to previous installments, with some notable changes. The fighter system has been changed to allow players to use three characters at once, instead of two as before. This makes the game faster and more dynamic, and allows players more strategic options.
The game also has several new features, including:
“Max Mode” System: This system allows players to use more powerful attacks after accumulating enough energy.
“EX Special Moves” System: This system allows players to perform more powerful versions of special moves.
“Striker” System: This system allows the player to use an allied character to help in battle.
The King of Fighters 2006 received positive reviews from critics, with many praising the game’s fast and engaging gameplay. However, the game also received some criticism for the new fighter system being a bit difficult to grasp.
