Baten Kaitos Origins is an action role-playing video game developed by Monolith Soft and published by Namco Bandai Games for the Nintendo GameCube in 2006. It is a sequel to Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, which was released in 2003.
The game is set in the fantasy world of Sylvarant, where people use gems called “Blastia” to control the elements. The player controls Sagi, a boy with the ability to use these gems without Blastia. Sagi along with his allies must stop an army of invaders from another world, Aethel.
The game has similar gameplay to the previous installment, with turn-based battles based on the “Blastia” system. Players can use gems to create spells and skills, as well as to control elements in battle. The game also has a complex plot system with many memorable characters.
Baten Kaitos Origins was highly regarded by critics, with praise for its gameplay, story, and graphics.
