The game combines side-scrolling platforming with interconnected environments inspired by Metroidvania adventures. Players travel through damaged buildings, abandoned streets, and underground locations while searching for a safe route forward. Exploration requires careful observation because many paths are blocked by debris or environmental obstacles. David can climb, jump, and navigate dangerous structures to reach new areas. Some locations become accessible only after discovering useful equipment or finding another way around an obstacle.
