MADO MONOGATARI: Fia and the Wondrous Academy takes you to the Ancient Magic Academy, where the legends of the Great Mages were written. Starting as a series of dungeon crawling RPGs on MSX and PC-98 in the 80s and 90s. MADO MONOGATARI has made its mark with memorable characters, challenging gameplay, and even its connection to the legendary puzzle series Puyo Puyo.
A Magical Academy Story
You will follow Fia, a brave young girl who has overcome a long journey to join the Ancient Magic Academy. Here, Fia must face strict professors, countless challenges, and mysterious events. On her journey to become a Great Mage, she will make friends, train her strength, and discover the deep secrets of the legendary school.
Dungeon Exploration and Fast-Paced Combat
Players will engage in randomly generated dungeons, confronting magical monsters such as Puyo, Skeleton T, and many others. Real-time turn-based battles require you to use magic wisely, collect Elemental Orbs, and unleash powerful skills. Managing stats, equipment, and inventory will determine Fia’s survival on the arduous path of learning.
Grimoire and Quest System
Each of Fia’s spells, skills, and learning progress are recorded in the Grimoire. By completing main and side quests, players will earn Learning Points to unlock new branches of magic, transforming Fia from a fledgling student into a powerful mage.
Rich Academy Life
In addition to combat, you can also experience daily life at the academy: farming, cooking curry to increase power, playing minigames from the bulletin board, or chatting with classmates. The lively school atmosphere provides an interesting balance between the tense moments in the dungeons and the warm atmosphere of school life.
New Crafting and Gear
In the Storage Room, players can use materials collected from the dungeons to craft shiny weapons, shields, and armor. As you progress, you unlock more powerful recipes and items, creating an engaging progression that encourages constant exploration.
