Majogami is a unique 2D action RPG where the world, characters, and magic are all brought to life in a papercraft style. On Nintendo Switch, the game follows Shiroha, an amnesiac girl, and her father Shiori – now transformed into paper – on a journey to regain their lost memories. With the sacred katana Kamikiri in hand, Shiroha must confront giant “Craft Wizards”, discovering the truth about herself and her mysterious powers.

A magical paper world and a unique art style
Majogami impresses from the very first frames with a papercraft world designed by Yuji Natsume, art director of INTI CREATES. Every detail, from the scenery, enemies to movements, has a soft yet dark touch, evoking a feeling of both poetry and magic. The game combines Japanese paper art and dark, mysterious colors, creating an atmosphere that is both beautiful and terrifying. Players will venture through sealed lands, discover ruins and lost souls in a world that seems fragile but contains boundless power.
Fast, smooth, and free combat with “Setsuna”
The highlight of Majogami’s gameplay is Setsuna – a skill that allows Shiroha to attack and move instantly. With just one slash, you can cut enemies in half and create a unique lighting effect inspired by Japanese culture. The combat system requires players to accurately time their attacks and dodge in a fast-paced manner. More than just a fighting skill, Setsuna also helps Shiroha overcome hard-to-reach areas, opening up routes that contain valuable items. The feeling of mastering Setsuna brings distinct satisfaction – an experience that is both artistic and powerful.
A touching story and a cast of deep characters
Majogami is not only attractive because of the gameplay, but also because of the humane story of memory, family and redemption. Each Majogami that Shiroha faces is a soul warped by her own obsession. The battles are not only a test of strength, but also a journey to free them from tragedy. As she defeats Majogami, Shiroha gradually collects Recarte memory cards, revealing her own past and that of her father, Shiori. In addition to the main story, the game also features side dialogues, telling more about the lives of supporting characters, all voiced in emotional Japanese, providing a complete and authentic experience.
