Moon Hunters

Moon Hunters is a cooperative action RPG set in a mystical world inspired by ancient Mesopotamia. When the moon fails to rise over Issaria, monsters spread across the land and throw the region into chaos. You have only five days to investigate the disappearance before King Mardokh and the Sun Cultists begin a devastating war. Play alone or join up to three friends as chosen children of the Moon. Every journey changes based on your decisions, relationships, and actions, allowing each group to create a different legend.

Explore a changing mystical world

Each adventure takes place across a procedurally generated world that changes every time you begin a new journey. You travel between villages, wilderness areas, sacred locations, and dangerous battlefields while searching for clues about the missing moon. Random events introduce new characters, challenges, and opportunities that can alter the direction of the story. Since the campaign lasts only five in-game days, every choice matters. You cannot experience every location or complete every event during one attempt. This structure encourages repeated playthroughs and makes exploration feel unpredictable. One journey may focus on helping isolated communities, while another may lead you toward ancient mysteries and powerful enemies.

Fight with different heroes and abilities

Moon Hunters features several playable heroes with distinct weapons, abilities, and combat styles. Some characters specialize in close-range attacks, while others use magic or ranged skills to control enemies from a safer distance. Players can improve their abilities during each journey and combine powers with teammates during cooperative battles. Enemies appear in groups and often require quick movement, accurate attacks, and effective teamwork. Boss encounters provide larger challenges and test how well the party has developed. The combat remains easy to understand, but selecting complementary heroes creates more strategic possibilities. Solo players can build a focused character, while cooperative groups can create balanced teams with different roles.

Shape your personality through choices

The game presents itself as a cooperative personality test because your behavior gradually defines the hero you become. Conversations, decisions, and completed events influence traits such as bravery, honesty, compassion, and intelligence. These qualities affect how other characters remember you and what kind of mythology develops around your journey. Instead of following one fixed storyline, you create a personal legend through everyday actions. Helping a stranger may strengthen one trait, while choosing power over kindness may lead to a very different reputation. After the adventure ends, the game shows how future generations remember your character. This system gives narrative importance to choices that might seem small during the journey.

Share the adventure with friends

Moon Hunters supports local cooperative play for one to four players on a single Nintendo Switch system. Friends can join the adventure and influence the same evolving legend through their own decisions. Cooperation becomes important during combat, but players may also disagree over destinations, conversations, and priorities. These differences create memorable stories that feel unique to each group. The Nintendo Switch edition includes the Eternal Echoes expansion and three exclusive companions that can be discovered during exploration. The short campaign length makes it easy to complete a journey in a few sessions, while the changing world and multiple character paths provide strong replay value.
