I am the Batter. I have been entrusted with a sacred duty. That is the beginning of OFF, one of the most influential RPGs of the past 20 years, now available on Nintendo Switch. Players will control The Batter – the main character with a mission to purify a world where everything seems familiar but is also strangely haunting.
A strange and enchanting world
In OFF, you will travel through many strange areas: from ghostly lands to modern places like shopping malls and roller coasters. Each step reveals a new layer of secrets, where strange creatures and quirky logistics force you to observe and judge to progress. Accompanying you is the Judge – a mysterious character who both guides and comments on this journey.
Combat and purification
The gameplay combines puzzles and turn-based combat to feel both familiar and new. The Batter is tasked with facing hostile ghosts, cleansing the Queen’s Districts to restore order to her citizens. Intense combat, unique skill systems, and haunting bosses will test your patience and strategy.
A classic reborn
The Switch version features brand new areas and bosses, designed by OFF creator Mortis Ghost himself. The game retains the same dark, surreal atmosphere, but is polished to fit modern consoles. This is a chance for both veterans and newcomers to experience one of the most influential indie titles.
