White Day: A Labyrinth Named School is a first-person survival horror game set inside a seemingly ordinary Korean high school after dark. Players enter Yeondu High School to deliver a White Day gift, only to become trapped inside a building filled with hostile spirits and other deadly threats. With no weapons for direct combat, survival depends on exploration, puzzle-solving, stealth, and knowing when to run.

Enter Yeondu High School After Midnight
The story follows new student Hee-Min Lee, who sneaks into Yeondu High School at night ahead of White Day. His original plan is simple. He wants to leave a box of candy for So-Young Han, the girl he likes, and return her diary. However, the school becomes a very different place after the doors close behind him. Hee-Min soon discovers that he is trapped inside, while supernatural events begin unfolding throughout the building. Other students are also caught in the nightmare, adding new relationships and mysteries to the story. What begins as a romantic gesture quickly becomes a desperate attempt to understand the school’s dark history and escape alive. The familiar classrooms and corridors gradually transform into an unsettling labyrinth where almost every new discovery suggests that something terrible happened in the past.
Survive Without Fighting Back
White Day creates tension by leaving players largely defenseless against the dangers inside the school. Hee-Min is not an action hero equipped with firearms or powerful weapons. When a threat appears, players often need to hide, remain quiet, or find a safe route away from danger. A murderous janitor patrols the building, while supernatural entities create additional threats throughout the night. This design makes exploration stressful because even an ordinary corridor can become dangerous when an enemy approaches. Running may provide a temporary escape, but careless movement can also make survival more difficult. Players must pay attention to their surroundings and decide when it is safe to continue investigating. The absence of traditional combat keeps the focus on vulnerability and suspense rather than defeating every creature that appears.
Solve Puzzles and Search for Clues
Escaping Yeondu High School requires more than avoiding its supernatural inhabitants. The building contains puzzles that block access to new locations and reveal additional information about the mystery. Players need to search classrooms, offices, corridors, and other areas for useful objects and clues. Environmental details can provide important information, so careful observation becomes an essential part of progression. Some solutions require players to connect information discovered in different parts of the school instead of simply finding a key beside a locked door. Puzzle elements also work closely with exploration, encouraging players to investigate areas that initially appear unimportant. The result is a slower and more deliberate style of survival horror where curiosity can reveal valuable answers but can also lead directly toward another frightening encounter.
Discover Ghost Stories Hidden Around the School
The supernatural side of White Day draws heavily on Korean horror and ghost stories. Yeondu High School contains numerous spirits, each contributing to the unsettling history surrounding the building. Players can discover documents and other pieces of information that provide context for these apparitions and the tragedies connected to them. This approach gives the horror more depth than a simple collection of jump scares. Each new story adds another layer to the school and makes previously ordinary locations feel more threatening. Some supernatural encounters can also change depending on how thoroughly players explore. Those willing to investigate optional areas can uncover more of the mythology hidden within Yeondu High School. The combination of local folklore, disturbing stories, and a familiar school environment gives the game a distinctive identity compared with many Western survival horror titles.
Shape the Story Through Your Decisions
Player choices influence how the story develops and provide an important reason to experience White Day more than once. Conversations and decisions can affect relationships with the students trapped inside the school, eventually contributing to different outcomes. The game features multiple endings, so one playthrough does not necessarily reveal every part of the narrative. Difficulty settings also affect more than enemy strength. Higher difficulties can introduce additional challenges and supernatural encounters, giving experienced players new reasons to return. This structure connects replayability directly to both story and horror. Players can make different decisions, investigate areas they previously missed, and attempt to uncover more secrets during another night at Yeondu High School.
