WWE 2K18 brought the main WWE 2K series back to a Nintendo platform and released for Nintendo Switch on December 6, 2017. The game features cover Superstar Seth Rollins alongside a broad roster of WWE Superstars, with wrestling matches, career progression, customization, and Universe management forming the core of the experience. The Switch edition includes the major modes associated with the 2018 release while allowing the game to be played on Nintendo’s hybrid system.

A Large WWE Roster and Expanded Match Options
WWE 2K18 expanded its match systems with features such as matches involving up to eight Superstars, a new grapple carry system, weight detection, additional animations, and a larger backstage environment. These additions were designed to give matches more variety, while the large playable roster lets players recreate WWE rivalries or build matchups of their own.
MyCareer and the Road to WrestleMania
MyCareer allows players to create a Superstar and progress through a wrestling career while interacting with other WWE personalities. The mode includes free-roaming backstage areas, conversations, alliances, rivalries, and quests. Players can follow different approaches to developing their character as they work toward larger events and ultimately WrestleMania.
Universe and Creation Suite
WWE Universe provides a broader management-style experience in which players can shape ongoing shows, rivalries, matches, and championship stories. The Creation Suite adds another layer of customization through tools for creating Superstars, arenas, videos, and custom matches. These systems give WWE 2K18 considerably more content beyond individual exhibition matches.
WWE 2K18 on Nintendo Switch
The Switch release was notable because it marked the return of WWE games to Nintendo hardware after several years. At launch, the version included local and online multiplayer support for up to four players as well as the major MyCareer, Universe, Road to Glory, and Creation Suite features. Because it is an older title, current availability of online-dependent functionality may differ from the original 2017 release, so the main value today is its offline wrestling, career, and customization content.
