Sonic Gems Collection is a great gift for fans of the legendary blue hedgehog. Developed by Sonic Team and published by SEGA in 2005, the game brings a collection of classic Sonic titles – names that once made waves on Sega CD, Sega Saturn and Game Gear.
Instead of being a single remake, Gems Collection acts as a “time portal”, taking players back to the golden age of Sonic in the 90s, but with a smooth experience on the GameCube system.
Complete set of three main masterpieces
Sonic CD – One of Sonic’s most beloved games, first released in 1993 on Sega CD. You will join Sonic to overcome speed levels, confront Dr. Eggman and rescue Amy Rose. The game’s unique “time travel” mechanics remain intact, providing a familiar yet equally engaging experience.
Sonic the Fighters – A rare 3D fighting game in the Sonic universe. Players can choose one of their favorite characters like Knuckles, Tails, or Amy to participate in intense duels.
Sonic R – A true Sonic speed race, where characters don’t need a car to reach the finish line. Every turn, every level is colorful and captivating music, taking you into an exciting atmosphere no less than any racing game.
Many Game Gear games and additional content
Not stopping at three masterpieces, Sonic Gems Collection also includes a series of games from the Game Gear system such as Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic Spinball, Sonic Triple Trouble, and more. Each game is a slice of the past, contributing to the glorious history of the Sonic brand.
Additionally, players can explore built-in Sonic animation videos, providing a more comprehensive look at the evolution of this iconic blue hedgehog in popular culture.
