Sonic Mania, developed by Headcannon and PagodaWest Games, and published by Sega in 2017 for the Nintendo Switch, is a platform video game. The game pays homage to the classic Sonic the Hedgehog titles, with level design, characters, and music inspired by the legendary versions of the past.
Classic Story
In Sonic Mania, you will enter the colorful world of Sonic the Hedgehog. Together with companions like Tails and Knuckles, Sonic must stop the plot of Doctor Eggman and Metal Sonic from taking over the world. The game offers 12 challenging levels, each divided into two parts. These levels feature familiar turns, pipes, and obstacles, reminiscent of previous Sonic versions.
Classic 2D Graphics
Sonic Mania features classic 2D graphics. The game accurately recreates the image that made Sonic the Hedgehog famous. The characters and levels are meticulously designed, keeping the original Sonic games intact. Each of Sonic’s moves and jumps feels familiar and nostalgic.
