Konnichiwa, Detective! While everyone is immersed in the gentle pink of the cherry blossom festival in Japan, the criminal organization VILE has once again struck. They have stolen the sacred shinboku tree – the symbol connecting heaven and earth – in broad daylight. Time is running out. The special FestiVILE event will only last until May 5, and only you can join Carmen Sandiego in chasing the culprit to prevent a cultural disaster.
Carmen – from the hunted to the symbol of justice
For the first time in the history of the franchise, you will no longer play the role of the detective chasing Carmen, but will transform into her. In the role of the red-hatted heroine, you will enter the dangerous world of espionage, where confrontations are not only about speed but also about intelligence. With modern support equipment such as gliders, grappling hooks, night vision goggles and thermal goggles, you will glide through the city, infiltrate secret facilities and uncover hidden plots.
Cross-country journey, diverse experiences
No Carmen Sandiego adventure is complete without iconic landmarks. Get ready to set foot in prominent locations such as Rio de Janeiro, Cairo, Tokyo or Venice. Each place is vividly recreated, giving you the opportunity to learn about the culture, architecture and mysterious stories that VILE is trying to hide.
Become a master codebreaker
As a talented spy, you will need to observe meticulously, remember every detail and connect seemingly meaningless clues. Each clue collected will lead you closer to the truth of the matter. Codes, safes, security systems and intellectual games will be the challenges for you to prove your reasoning skills.
Final Confrontation: VILE Can’t Get Away Forever
With each mission you complete, you’ll gain clues to narrow down the suspect. Black or red hair? Blue or brown eyes? Physical characteristics will help you identify the culprit and make an arrest. But remember, every mistake comes at a cost. When time is not on your side, only your wits and determination can help you bring VILE to justice.
Carmen Sandiego has never let her fans down – and this time, she’s back with a mission bigger than ever. If you’re a puzzler, love exploring the world, and are always fascinated by unsolved mysteries, then look no further. The shinboku tree is waiting to be rescued, and Carmen is waiting for you!
